unless you are willing to set up a surround sound system with your computer, complete with expensive receiver, this is as good as you are going to get. None of these products, or sound cards really explain optical and its relationship to which system is doing the decoding. Sounds great, loud, tons of options. decodes for you or accepts your decoded signal. If you have a great soundcard and this product, how do you know which decoder you are using. does it matter.
These speakers are not bad at all so far and really easy to use. You don't have to fight with a receiver in order to get the speakers to work right.
I have them hooked up to my media center PC via the fiber optic cable and have turned off all the bass or treble, equalizers controls and other effects so I have a clean of a signal, with as little coloration as possible, and they sound wonderful with out any "help". They literally shook the windows on my house.
They handle bass very well and never get boomy or bottom out when the sub woofer is jacked up. These speakers are crystal clear and loud as hell and not to mention that they are easy on the eyes.
I'm a guy). The first thing I did when I got them was slap on a metal album and turned it all the way up and went outside to see how they sounded.
er I mean how much I would be bothering my neighbors (hey. And they were crystal clear with zero distortion even when they were turned up all the way (they do go to 11 btw, how cool is that).
Movies and games are awesome with the 5.1 speakers.Do not walk, RUN to the store and get you some.
I bought these over 6 months ago. These are louder than I expected. I have been using these more than my main system. I do wish there was a bit more cleaner Bass, not I am still happy with these. The main control is setting a bit off to the side. The way my Kitchen is designed; I have a good bit of space on top of our cabinets.
And my Kitchen is a good size. I put all the speakers on top and the Sub on the floor. Well. Even if I had paid more, I would be happy with them. Well after putting these in, I was completely amazed at the sound quality. And they sound great. These are a great Speaker system as your Primary or secondary.
Now in my Living room I have an Onkyo 7.1 system that puts out 1000 watts, which I used most of the time. I actually have these set up in my Kitchen. In fact I very rarely use my other system to listen to music anymore. And all the wires are hidden properly and up thru the Cabinets. And when I put this system in, I kinda figured it would be an OK system as a side thing to use at times. I got these from DELL at a great price ( 250 including free shipping) and these are well worth the money. You will definitely be happy with them.
well about fidelity is incredible the speaker even at impressive high volume you can't hear distortion even if you want to is kinda impossible.-The sub is enormous, it has a amazing sound-The control panel is very "pro" looking and its very elegant -the speakers are quite big but they have an incredible sound-the remote control is not that beautiful but works fine-the cables are long enough. This speaker setup is the best of the best of the best in audio quality is just simply amazing its very loud. believe today i out the song of white girl at 3/4 of the volume thats 15 lines the bass was so strong that it give me a headache its true i'm not lying. surround speakers: 7.6 mt. front speaker: 4.5 mt.-the sub is 13 x 13 x 16 i think (if anyone require the info).
